Incident impacting MONTREAL DATA CENTRE

Our CEO met with the CTO of the data centre this afternoon. The overview is that the farleymowat cluster issue was the result of multiple hardware failures, along with a lack of proper response from the OVH public cloud team. Our CEO will provide a blog post in the next 72 hours that will detail every step of what happened (as we know it), what is different about this farleymowat cluster & our WPCloud cloud & how we will prevent this from happening again in that scale. We take this very personally & understand the impact that this had to approx. 180 WordPress installs on that cluster.

The farleymowat cluster has been up & stable since 1:30PM ET. Our CEO will be meeting with the data centre reps. tomorrow afternoon. Once that meeting is complete, we will be able to provide more details on the cause of this failure. Our team continues to migrate sites to other clusters, as farleymowat cluster is still considered unreliable.

We have just been notified that the data centre is manually migrating the farleymowat cluster to a new hypervisor. This would mean that they have experienced a serious hardware failure. We will post details once we have available. Our team is currently migrating sites to a new cluster.
